Apple Jack is the 5th painting in my series of photorealistic acrylic paintings. The original painting is on a 36”x36” gallery wrapped canvas.
The reference photos to create this painting were taken in Bethel, New York where over a half million hippies listened to some of the greatest rock and roll stars of the 1960’s. My wife, Wendy and I, visited the Woodstock Museum and took several hundred photos of an apple, a jack and a yellow tablecloth. The sky you see reflected in the chrome jack is the same sky that surrounded Jimi Hendrix, The Who, CCR, Santana, Grateful Dead and so many other rock stars at the largest rock and roll concert in history.
