Berlin maintains scars of its time as the epicenter of East/West conflict. Tempelhof airport was the lifeline of Berlin during the Berlin Airlift and remained a lifeline throughout the Cold War. This image is perhaps what an expectant traveler might see as he or she awaits boarding in the heyday of Tempelhof.
